Klaipėda
Lithuania's port city where the Curonian Lagoon meets the Baltic Sea, with a charming Old Town, sandy beaches and the ferry across to Neringa.

About the city
Klaipėda is Lithuania's third-largest city by population and area, located on the coast where the Curonian Lagoon meets the Baltic Sea. It is a beautiful, inviting and hospitable city, open to the world and to people.
The shape of the city on the map is intriguing. The city is very long and narrow. It is crossed lengthwise by just three main streets, and everything is laid out in a very European way – unlike Vilnius or Kaunas, with their many turns, bends and hills.
Klaipėda has long been a favourite with tourists. In Lithuania's port city you will find an Old Town of rare beauty, clean sandy beaches and a convenient ferry crossing to Neringa.
