Melnragė Beach stretches along the Klaipėda coast north of the North Pier and includes two city beaches – Melnragė I and Melnragė II. A wide strip of sand is separated from the settlement by dunes and pine woods, and paths across the dunes link the beaches all the way to Giruliai. In season there are lifeguards, changing cabins, showers, toilets, children's playgrounds and sports areas, as well as viewing platforms for watching the waves and the sunset. Melnragė I has a beach area for people with pets, and Melnragė II has been awarded the Blue Flag in several years.
