The Blacksmith Museum opened in 1992 in Klaipėda Old Town, on the former homestead of blacksmith Gustav Kackė (1868–1944), next to his smithy, which worked from the late 19th to the first half of the 20th century. On display are blacksmiths' tools, weather vanes, forged crosses and fragments of fences and gravestones from Klaipėda's old cemeteries; one of the highlights is a decorative fragment of the Radziwiłł crypt door from Königsberg Cathedral. Striking iron crosses and monuments stand in the yard, and the museum runs educational workshops, including making Baltic jewellery. The museum is pet-friendly.
