Raiba Plunksna Farm Zoo

This homestead zoo of breeding birds and domestic animals runs educational activities for the public and organises excursions and exhibitions for schoolchildren and other visitors: • getting to know domestic birds and animals; • rest areas with benches; • a children's playground, swings and a sandpit; • a collection of horns gathered on the farm; • a gallery of cross-stitched pictures; • feather accessories and souvenirs. Animals kept at the homestead: Birds: breeding chickens, ostriches, turkeys, guinea fowl, pheasants, pigeons, peacocks, ducks, geese and budgerigars. Rodents: rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, laboratory rats, Syrian hamsters, Djungarian hamsters, gerbils and degus. Hoofed animals: Cameroon goats, Valais Blackneck goats, miniature island sheep, hairless Cameroon sheep, Skudde sheep, alpacas and a pony. Wild animals: Père David's deer and fallow deer.
