The Chaim Frenkel Villa, with its park and the fountain that adorns it, is an exceptional space in Šiauliai. It is a unique building, one of the few in Lithuania in the early 20th-century Art Nouveau style (Secession, Jugendstil), whose façade combines elements of various styles, while its authentic interior delights with its surviving wood panelling and ornate stucco. The villa's exhibitions present the culture of Lithuania's provincial manors and of interwar Šiauliai, as well as Jewish heritage. Exhibitions, concerts, film and music festivals and other events are held at the villa. The Art Nouveau park is open to visitors; in 2018, to mark the centenary of the restoration of Lithuania's statehood, a rose garden of a thousand roses was planted there.
