The Bicycle Museum is the only specialised museum in Lithuania devoted to the history of the bicycle. Founded in 1980, the museum combines traditional exhibitions with the latest technologies. Every visitor becomes an active participant here, able to learn about the history of the bicycle and try out the possibilities and fun this means of transport offers. On the museum's first floor, adults and children alike enjoy races on modern and old-fashioned bicycles. The old wooden bicycle was built from drawings almost five centuries old. In the third-floor exhibition you can try road cycling, and on the second floor you can pedal an unusual piece of sports equipment – a velomobile. Visitors will learn not only about the development of one of the oldest means of transport and sport, and an eco-friendly one at that, but also about the cyclists whose feats have made Lithuania known around the world. For visitors' convenience there is a rest area and a special information space.
