The unique open-air art gallery "Open Gallery" is a long-term interdisciplinary project and cultural initiative that presents urban culture in an original way and creatively revives post-industrial Naujamiestis. The initiative aims to present alternatives to traditional art forms – such as paintings on factory walls, installations, sculptures, performances and non-commercial film screenings, which take on new meaning in an industrial space – while also encouraging Lithuanian and foreign artists from different fields to work together. The open-air gallery "Open Gallery" is a project of the Loftas art factory. It is a long-term interdisciplinary project that unites talented Lithuanian and foreign artists in shared creative work and is growing into an international open-air gallery of street art, sculptures and installations. The gallery is located in the courtyard of the former Elfa factory, where the Loftas art factory now stands. One of the main aims of Open Gallery in Naujamiestis is to bring abandoned urban areas back to life and so reveal a previously unseen face of the Lithuanian capital to Vilnius residents and visitors. Visiting the gallery is free, and it is open to everyone at any time.
