"A Word to the Forest's Friend" Nature Trail

Walking this nature trail, you'll not only admire the forest but also learn about the forest environment, its plants and the work of foresters. The trail offers especially beautiful views of the bends of the Merkys River with picturesque, washed-out sandy banks. The walk won't be boring for younger visitors either: they'll have to solve quite a few riddles about the secrets of the forest. Along the trail there are several shelters, benches and other decorative small structures. Information boards present the key historical dates of the area and legends about the origin of the name Valkininkai.
