Šakalinis Park

5.01 reviewArvydai

Šakalinis Park is a place for family fun and learning. It covers about 20 hectares. The organisers reckon that 2–3 hours is usually enough for a visit, but you can stay longer. Active entertainment and getting to know the forest go hand in hand here: a big rope racing course and two smaller ones, a wooden-ball run, a playground, a water-play area, swings and cart races. The educational part has an interactive fairy-tale trail, the "Scary Forest", a forest school, a forest quiz, a bird trail and a barefoot trail. Fallow deer are kept in the park, and you can watch them from a viewing platform. Because of the wild animals, pets are not allowed. For visitors' convenience there is a car park, the Great and Forest terraces are open, and there is a parent-and-child toilet. Most of the paths are adapted for people with reduced mobility. Tickets can be bought online or on site and are valid for 10 calendar days. Opening hours change with the season, and on some days the whole park is hired out, so it is worth checking the website or social media before you come.
