Vijūnėlė Park

Not rated yetDruskininkai

Vijūnėlė Park is a lovely place to relax around Lake Druskonis and the Vijūnėlė Pond. Reconstructed in 2011, the park draws visitors with its beauty and cosiness, inviting them to spend their free time well. One of its most impressive sights is the sea of more than 200,000 daffodils that bloom in early spring. The path between Lake Druskonis and the Vijūnėlė Pond, much loved by Dr Bronislovas Lubys, an honorary citizen of Druskininkai, is named after him. The walking paths delight visitors with Japanese sakura cherry trees and the romantically lit park grounds. The setting is adorned by a small architectural feature, a sculpture of two fighting rams. Vijūnėlė Park has become one of the most popular places for active leisure in the resort.
