Seredžius Hillfort (Palemonas Hill)
Not rated yetSeredžius
Rising majestically on the bank of the Nemunas, the hillfort is also called Palemonas Hill. Legend says the legendary Roman prince Palemonas is buried here. In the 13th–14th centuries a defensive castle stood on top of the high, steep hillfort; today it is a superb viewpoint with wonderful views of the Nemunas valley and the confluence of the Nemunas and the Dubysa.
