A historic homestead several centuries old rises on a specially built mound. In June 1997 the Ethnographic Homestead Museum took its first visitors back to the 19th and early 20th centuries, and it still shows visitors how the old inhabitants lived. Until 2015 visitors were usually welcomed by its caretaker, the late Dr K. Banys. Now folk artist Violeta Benetienė awaits guests at the homestead. The homestead belongs to a private person, so visits are limited (outside working days, by prior arrangement).
