The panorama from the cliff on the left bank of the Neris is one of the most impressive in Lithuania. From here you can look out over the forested Neris valley and the islands and shallows forming in the riverbed. And when you float down the Neris, it feels as if you are about to run into a sheer wall of sand! The Paneriškės cliff is about 70 m high and about 500 m long along the riverbed. The cliff is also special because it is rich in rare plants listed in the Lithuanian Red Book. Arnica, the dark-red helleborine, sand fescue and others grow here.
