Did you know that part of the action of Józef Weyssenhoff's famous novel "The Sable and the Girl" took place in Gačionys? In the shade of a park by Lake Gačionys stands the wooden Neoclassical manor house, built around 1830, which draws visitors with its white columns and cosy veranda. For many years the manor was restored through the enthusiasm of baron Piotr Rosen, and in 2021 it was bought by Sigutė and Gintaras Balčiūnas. The renewed manor opened its doors to visitors in May 2025. Here you can see the manor house, the museum of antique Ford Model T cars in the carriage house, and walk in the 13 ha manor park by Lake Gačionys. The manor can be visited with tickets for tours or events, and the park is open to visitors on set days during the season. Only members of the Manor Lovers' Club can stay in the manor's apartments.
