A visit to the A. Mončys House-Museum will impress not only art lovers but children too. Why? In keeping with the artist's wishes, visitors here can touch the sculptures with their hands! The Lithuanian artist and modernist sculptor A. Mončys was born in the village of Mončiai in the Kretinga district. Carried to the West by the storms of the Second World War, he lived and worked in France. The museum's second floor displays works donated to Lithuania after the artist's death – more than 200 sculptures, drawings, prints, collages, whistles and masks. The first floor serves as an exhibition hall with a constantly changing display.
