This impressive manor on a peninsula between lakes Galvė and Skaistis was built at the end of the 19th century for Count Józef Tyszkiewicz (Juozapas Tiškevičius). The Užutrakis estate covered a full 600 hectares. The neoclassical palace was designed by the well-known Polish architect Józef Huss. Just as worthy of attention is the English park next to it, designed by the Frenchman Édouard François André, who designed about 100 parks across Europe.
