Telephony Museum

Not rated yetŠiauliai

The Telephony Museum's vision is to preserve and promote telephone technology heritage and to nurture the identity and uniqueness of the cultural heritage building it occupies. The Telephony Museum is located in a historic building (the former city treasury). The company UAB "Extra Services" nurtured the idea of founding a museum of this kind for many years. Having gathered a sizeable collection of exhibits and a wide range of historical material on the history of telephony in Lithuania and around the world, it opened the Telephony Museum in June 2019 – one of the few innovative, modern history museums of its kind in Lithuania. The museum offers overview tours and educational sessions that encourage visitors to be not just observers but active participants.
