Lūžiai Park is an area of about 20 hectares bounded on the west and north by Justiniškių and Rygos streets and on the north-east by a stretch of Laisvės Avenue. The southern and south-eastern edges of the area adjoin the yards of apartment blocks in the Viršuliškės district, a secondary school and a kindergarten. The park was tidied up in 2017–2018. In this park in the Viršuliškės district, dry, dying, diseased and pest-damaged trees, as well as trees that were growing too densely or leaning dangerously, were removed. Low-value shrubs were also cleared to create a wooded landscape in Lūžiai Park. The work was carried out in line with a forest management plan approved by the Minister of the Environment and a permit issued by the State Forest Service.
