Today the zoo is home to about 200 animals. The collection includes more than 150 species, many of which are listed in the Lithuanian and international Red Lists. In 2014 the garden was granted zoo status and changed its name. Klaipėda Zoo can be proud of having white tigers, among the rarest animals in the Baltic states.
