The Kalniškės conglomerate outcrop is an 8-metre-high, 400-metre-long slope whose upper part exposes layers of conglomerate (sand, gravel and grit cemented into hard rock). Small icicle-like formations, the beginnings of stalactites, can be found in the hollows and unevenness of the conglomerate. The outcrop is part of the Žiegždriai Geological Trail, a route for exploring geological heritage. The outcrop takes its name from the village of Kalniškė, which was flooded and now lies at the bottom of the Kaunas Reservoir.
