This is a wild forest route for those who love long, active and intense walks, as in some sections you'll have to tackle steep slopes and gullies. The route follows the shore along beaten paths, and its main landmark is the Kaunas Reservoir. However, to stay safe and not get lost, having the reservoir nearby isn't enough: we recommend following the markings on the trees and other signs along the route. The route is almost 5 km long one way, so if you choose it, be ready to spend quite a while in the fresh air. On this trail walkers can enjoy wonderful nature panoramas, the Kaunas Reservoir, the scenery of Pažaislis Monastery and the outlines of the Pakalniškiai and Vieškūnai hillforts in the distance. The Žaisa stream and a spring are also on the trail, a great place to refresh yourself with cold spring water that is said to be miraculous.
