Embraced by bends of the Neris and hidden in the Paneriai hills, the Gariūnai viewpoint is not as well known or as popular as other Vilnius viewpoints. Even so, its heights offer a stunning, far-reaching panorama of the city: the wide river valley stretches below your feet, the spire of the TV tower pierces the sky in the distance, the apartment blocks of the Lazdynai district huddle together on the hills, and if you turn your head the other way you can see Gariūnai.
