"Everyone is an artist, but only artists know it" goes the catchy phrase. But if you let the people of Vilnius, they would probably rephrase it something like this: "Everyone needs to visit the Contemporary Art Centre, but not everyone knows it yet." The CAC is the largest contemporary art centre in the Baltic states. It shows the latest art projects as well as touring and retrospective exhibitions of 20th–21st-century art. Are you a fan of avant-garde art? Drop into the Fluxus Cabinet. The CAC Reading Room is very interesting too – an open, informal space for reading and socialising that hosts events, seminars, lectures, performances, meetings with artists and book presentations. The centre even has a cinema! It explores new forms of film expression and presents work by filmmakers from different continents. Have we mentioned the events?
