Christ the Redeemer and Statue of Liberty Replicas in Paplatelė
Not rated yetPaplatelė
There is a place where a copy of the Statue of Liberty stands. The real Statue of Liberty stands near New York. It depicts a woman in a stola and a crown with seven spikes representing the seven seas and continents. In her left hand she holds a tablet against her body, and in her right she raises a torch. It was a gift marking the centenary of US independence. Call into the courtyard of the private guest house "Šienainis": surrounded by forest, you will see 2 small wooden sculptures – Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer and the US Statue of Liberty. These sculptures have stood in the courtyard for so many years that no one can say who made them.
