More than a decade ago the artist Vytenis Jakas moved into a house in this courtyard and noticed that the neighbours had grown apart and forgotten the courtyard's shared past. When he began transferring photographs of the Jewish families who once lived here onto the walls, he received great support. One after another, other objects have appeared in the courtyard, new artists keep leaving their mark, neighbours hold celebrations here and tourists constantly drop by. Just remember that people live here and have a right to peace and quiet.
