Ilzenbergas Manor, which surprises visitors with its art spaces, has a feature that will make you smile – a giant potato weighing about 75 tonnes… That is as much as Lithuanians eat in a day. Created by a group of artists, the work stands in the manor car park. The potato was brought to Ilzenbergas in parts. Its metal frame was covered with fibreglass, and the artists decorated it to make it look like the real thing… Next to it you will find the key facts about the vegetable that Lithuanians call their second bread: its history, its benefits and its enemies.
