Set in a century-old park and graced by a mighty oak, Ilzenberg Manor can not only tell a love story but also invite romantics and the curious to walk to the Island of Love in the middle of the lake. It is the only fully restored manor in the Baltic states that farms and continues the traditions of natural agriculture: plants are fertilised with natural organic fertilisers, cattle and poultry are fed with fodder grown and produced on the farm, and fields are sown using crop rotation, so a good harvest is grown naturally. The manor estate has returned to its roots: people live and work here again, livestock is raised, fields are sown and community life is in full swing.
