In the first half of the 19th century the street lamps belonging to Vilnius were looked after by 15–20 lamplighters. The sculpture you will find on Šv. Jono Street depicts a representative of this long-vanished profession – a lamplighter. The sculptor is Vytautas Nalivaika.
