In this park, laid out on the site of an old cemetery, stands not only a mosque but also memorials to the victims of the June Uprising and to the Mother of Lithuania's Freedom Fighters, as well as a plaque commemorating the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and the solidarity protest it sparked in Kaunas.
