The M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art preserves the exceptional legacy of the Lithuanian painter and composer. Symbolist paintings, graphic works and music meet in its exhibitions, while the music room offers recordings of his compositions. The museum also introduces historic Lithuanian art and folk traditions. A display of traditional crosses in the courtyard adds another perspective on the country’s cultural memory. It is a place both for a first encounter with Čiurlionis and for an unhurried return to his work.
