The stream, also known as Melnyčėlė, is one of the most interesting and impressive natural sights of Asveja Regional Park. It is only 1.2 km long, yet over this short distance it "drops" about 12 metres. Its swift flow and many bends make it look like a mountain brook, and its banks rise as high as 18 metres. The streambed is strewn with boulders. In the channel lies a state-protected natural heritage object, the Jurkiškis Stone, also nicknamed "Puntukas's Child", with a girth of 5 metres. To let visitors see the full beauty of this canyon-like valley, a 1.5 km nature trail with information boards and signposts has been laid out along the Jurkiškis stream.
