The Jiesia State Landscape Reserve is an area in the city of Kaunas and Kaunas district. The reserve, covering 447.6 ha, protects the landscape of the Jiesia valley with its impressive outcrops and eroded slopes, and rare species of plants and animals. The reserve has a nature-learning and walking area and the Jiesia nature trail, which stretches for about 2 km. Along the trail you come across at least three outcrops, where you can stop to admire not only the bends of the Jiesia river but also the slopes, the vegetation and the outcrops. Have your camera ready for breathtaking shots, and stay alert and careful – the slopes of the Jiesia are really steep.

Getting there by carAlthough the views here are even more beautiful at night, note that it was decided to limit the speed on Moliakiemio Street to 30 km/h and to ban traffic at night, so after dark you may have to walk further.
Those without a car are not left out either – the reserve is easy to reach by public transport. Several buses go there: routes 23, 47 and 61.
