Graffiti "Seamstress with Cats"

In June 2020, during the festival "Namai suARTina" (Homes Bring Us Closer) initiated by the Alytus City Theatre, the walls of five buildings in the city were painted. One of them was decorated with this work by A. Šimonis. Before the war, one of the best tailor's shops in Alytus, run by Valerija Balsiukevičienė and Juozas Kupčiūnas, operated on Ugniagesių Street. In the whirl of history the city's layout and street network changed and the old buildings disappeared, but the stories and memories have not gone anywhere.
