Religion tells more than the stories of saints. Faith is intertwined with a nation's traditions and events, so the history of a country is etched into its houses of prayer too. The exhibits of the Church Heritage Museum were collected from various Lithuanian churches, so you will find many fascinating things here. On display is the Cathedral Treasury, long thought lost and later found in a walled-up cavity. History lovers will be amazed by the reliquaries, paintings and documents that bear witness to traditions of piety and show how cults spread and how religious and political exchanges took place.
