This unique 16-hectare Japanese garden in Kretinga district, the largest in Europe, is being created by a master from Japan, Hajime Watanabe, and a doctor, Šarūnas Kasmauskas, and features a collection of bonsai trees, a rock garden, sakura trees and ponds. Work on the garden began on 10 October 2007 on an empty plot. In the tea house you can enjoy Japanese matcha green tea, feed the Japanese koi carp that bring good luck and chat with the garden's creators. The garden is being created according to the old traditions of Japanese gardens, recreating natural scenery in which no single element should stand out from the others. What matters most is a balanced whole. It is a place for contemplation and self-discovery.
