If you would like to see one of the hundred most protected natural monuments in Europe, look for the Devil's Pit. The origin of this 40 m deep, regular funnel-shaped feature is still unclear – perhaps it was formed by a block of ice left behind after the Ice Age, or perhaps it was made by a meteorite? You can view the pit from all sides and try to unravel its secrets while walking along the paths laid out around it and climbing the steps.
